What the water wants, is hurricanes...

What should you do if you want to jump while something wonderful holding you back? If you want to dive into the blue freshness, all new sensation. But wait, you would have to leave the safe ground, not knowing whether the water thats waits for you will turn out cold or gentle. Both can be good for the moments, but freezing soon you would wish yourself back to the bay, maybe...but then there's no turning back.
Why isn't it possible to stay in between those two elements?
We'll just have to accept our choices, trying to convince us that they were right. Still haunted by them when the land is burnt down and the water is dried out. Good to know that everything will turn out well, when you have seen the end...because then, it's the suffering who have nothing to loose.

Illumination

In my opinion, there are three different attitudes concerning the aspiration for enlightenment:
There are those who strive towards epiphany, trying to achieve this ultimate goal by any means possible. You can call them ambitious. There are those who'll never hear of the meaning of satori, the ones that honestly enough have more problems surviving today than seeking for answers in the past or future. And then there are those waiting, meditating, taking a deep breath instead of a hasty one. The warmth pouring through the outer barriers of your body. Feeling what is inside you, listening to the rythm of the silence...for one last time. Not seeing the light on the other side but tasting the cold grey sweat of what has been a wonderful life.
Awareness leeds you to a choice, but what if you want to be a slave of your own irresponsability?

The heart of existence

Everything you'll find has got a centre. It's heart doesn't have to be in that perfect spot. It can as well be subtly buried beneath the unmissable appearance which always fools us first. This is a natural and unconscious reflex, a perpetual truth we don't want to hear about. Don't we all prefer the shell over the flesh? At least for some time it would be quite satisfactory. But then again...
Aren't we all comparable to those adorably fresh looking leaves with their super hydrophobic surface? Water instantly pearls off, adsorbing all the dirt on its quest for gravity. Alas, what a relieve that time blesses our beloved organ with friendly wrinkles, creating a martian tree of canals. So age substitutes the sparkling greeness with a mature sense of wisdom. But instead of seeing it as a gift, we leave it to our daring friend Mr. Clostridium botulinum...what a waste!

UMBRA IUSTICIAE

What is justice? Is it nothing but the difference between what is legally right and wrong. What's certain is that it is conceived differently in different people. Do you find it by follwing your heart? Most certainly you won't. But does reason always lead to a morally 'acceptable' conclusion? Is it then our striving for the common good? Nice try...
We're only programmed to propagate our own genes. So could it be that by rising against this construct of inevitable destiny, our mind reaches a certain degree of spiritual justice? This one sounds at least not too bad.
There is only one problem: Just by hoping that justice will be inflicted upon us by following this principle, aren't we forgetting those nasty falcons? The consequence is that there will be evil as long as there will be living organisms and that there will be no world without war. At least the Game theory tells us so...Is this not a sinister view of what we can achieve nevertheless? As an optimistic scientist I tell you : no, it isn't! But all of you realistic pessimists should simply continue to think what you 'd known forever: Maybe some day...
I opt for Armstrong, what a wonderful world!

People are stranger, when you are a stranger

Strange place, strange world, stranger lights, stranger words.
It all comes back to knowing what the other feel. But how can you tell, sometimes even doubting what goes on in your own cord, unable to listen to the mumbling of your guts.
Anywho, it's a sweet sweet world with some very sour thoughts. Sour is good! It gets you off your sugar high! It also tasts fine with chicken hong-kong. And the flu even comes for free!
After all, it is your duty to keep the ugly-ones from drowning. Without them, anything is lost. Without you doing what you should, pestilence will overcome! It's all been published in 47! S
But some simply should not see their destiny. It crushes their spirit and makes them loose the touch. It's only youth, it will not be forever like this. Thou perpetual questions shalt be damned! they scream. Although they form the very essence for us. For there will be no moment in time with a conscious mind not asking why and how. Sadly enough answers are found by few, and given to many. Sad in fact only to the many, not seeing above the wall they are building. We must treat them with honorable respect, for without their wall, we wouldn't be able to see a thing neither!

The Peak of humanity

Wouldn't it be nice for once to just stop and think about where we're coming from than just about our destination. Sure no Rome was build by pondering about the past, and no world was conquered by standing still, but what about the inevitable circle of mistakes, more aptly comparable to the wheel of a rat, desperatly trying to get out of its cage.
On the other hand, if you're trying to climb a mountain, what happens if you arrive on the top. What will you do after arriving blindfolded on Olympus Mons having used just one lung of air. Why not take a sack of sand with you for the one who's already standing there, waiting for you? Still better than climbing down while looking up, or climbing up and looking down, for that matter.

Why this blog?

Do we really need to look for an answer to the question whether or not, pictures have their own need and right-to-be in our society? Well this depends you'll probably think, after having spend the last minutes before your arrival to this site browsing the net, being spammed by thousands of images, pictures, ads (aren't they all the same?)! You're fed off, you don't need to see my pictures or read my interpretations, you don't need to waste your precious time. You've seen it all, believe me, everybody has! So why stay, why continue to read this nonsense? No reason why. This is the big issue here, and I know that you knew this all along even before me throwing it against the pixels of your monitor. No one should tell you if these pictures are good, not even your own brain, right now trying to sort this all out into its much-loved little labelled cathegories. Have a look at them, if you like, and if you don't like it don't waste your time analyzing every little detail.
I just want you to realize that every picture on this page, whether you find it good or bad, nice or horrible, has its very own story to tell. That's why I chose them among the then thousands waiting on my hardrive to be forgotten someday. What these stories are you'll have to find out for yourself, it's purely up to you. Just be open to the fact that there is more about a picture than its sharpness, its content, the lights and colors, the megapixels and artifacts, the noise and the contrast. What that is exactly I hope you'll see in the future, as I'll try to post them regularily and produce even more bits an bytes that this world doesn't need.
